About The Position

The Lead Instructor, in addition to teaching their own courses, supports instructional staff and serves as a liaison between faculty, campus leadership, and the CSC Education team. Dorsey College offers exceptional career training in some of the country’s most in-demand fields. Requirements

  • Three years of previous Allied Health Instructor experience required.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of Canvas.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as active listening.
  • Must possess strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and show extreme resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to express a positive attitude about school activities.
  • Proficient with basic office equipment, computers, and computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a structured, professional classroom environment in compliance with institutional policies and ensure instructional preparedness, delivering high quality instruction in lecture, lab, and/or clinical settings aligned with approved course outlines and industry standards, using varied teaching methods to support diverse learning styles.
  • Assist with faculty hiring, onboarding, classroom observations, and coaching to improve teaching and student success.
  • Assist with SAP documentation and ensure all required student signatures are collected in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to allied health faculty through mentoring, training, and guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction is to current standards by ensuring all activities are conducted in a legal, ethical, and compliant manner.
  • Support allied health program success by tracking key performance measures and working with leadership to improve curriculum.
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and industry activities to stay current with industry standards and employer expectations.
  • Assist with and mentoring new faculty’s utilization of CANVAS, campus orientation, lesson plans and completion and grades finalized.
  • Check with all instructors prior to the first day of class for any materials that may be needed including ebooks, textbooks, supplies, etc.
  • Assist with classroom observations as needed.
