About The Position

Florida ENT and Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates, is seeking an energetic, positive LPN, EMT, or Certified Medical Assistant to work as an Allergy Technician in a full-time position at its Wesley Chapel office. The role is suited to a motivated, self-starting, multitask-oriented professional who can handle a high volume of patients and is willing to learn about allergy, ENT, and audiology. The practice provides general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care, with patient care as its top priority.

Requirements

• Active LPN, RN, or Certified Medical Assistant licensure or certification.
• At least two years of hands-on clinical experience.
• Willingness to travel between locations as needed.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a clear speaking voice.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Professionalism toward patients, physicians, and team members.
• Computer literacy for EMR.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability.
• Allergy experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients for 20–60 minutes.
• Follow allergy protocols.
• Educate patients about allergy testing and treatments.
• Answer patient calls.
• Take patient histories.
• Give injections.
• Perform allergy skin tests.
• Obtain authorizations.
• Prepare exam rooms.
• Use sterilization techniques in accordance with CDC, ENTAAF, and, if applicable, autoclave manufacturer requirements.
