About The Position

Florida ENT and Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates, is seeking an energetic, positive LPN, EMT, or Certified Medical Assistant to work as an Allergy Technician. This is a full-time position. The practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care, with patient care as its top priority. The role suits a multitask-oriented, motivated self-starter who can handle a high volume of patients and is willing to learn all aspects of allergy and ENT care. The position may require travel between office locations.

Requirements

• Active EMT, LPN, RN, or Certified Medical Assistant licensure or certification.
• At least two years of hands-on clinical experience.
• Willingness to travel between locations as needed.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a clear speaking voice.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Professionalism toward patients, physicians, and team members.
• Computer literacy for EMR.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability.
• Allergy experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients for 20–60 minutes.
• Follow allergy protocols.
• Educate patients on allergy testing and treatments.
• Answer patient calls.
• Take patient histories.
• Give injections.
• Perform allergy skin tests.
• Obtain authorizations.
• Prepare exam rooms.
• Use sterilization techniques in accordance with CDC, ENTAAF, and, if applicable, autoclave manufacturer requirements.
