About The Position

The AIT Lead provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership for assigned tasks, including contract and subcontractor management. This is a waterfront shipboard construction and re-modernization role performed in shipyards and drydocks aboard U.S. Naval ships, rather than in an office. The work environment includes exposure to varying temperatures, including summer heat and winter cold. The position is onsite in Norfolk, Virginia, with 40 scheduled hours per week and less than 10% travel required.

Requirements

At least 8 years of related experience.
High school diploma or GED.
U.S. citizenship.
Some positions on the contract require a Secret security clearance; qualified candidates without a current clearance may be sponsored, subject to position requirements and the applicable clearance process.

Responsibilities

Provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership for assigned tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
Participate in developing technical project plans, proposals, reports, task orders, and administrative reporting.
Perform high-level technical services on assigned tasks as needed.
Conduct planning and provide workload recommendations to the customer.
Attend customer meetings and potentially serve as the primary customer liaison.
Interact with vendors, other agencies, and Government staff on behalf of the customer.
Coordinate development of deliverables and products.
Ensure quality assurance of project deliverables.
Participate in special projects as required.
