About The Position

HHS Aviation is hiring Airport Wheelchair Agents to provide wheelchair assistance to passengers throughout the airport. Agents transport passengers to and from flights inside the terminal and provide friendly, compassionate service to support a positive airport experience. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with day, evening, and night shifts. The wage is $17 per hour plus tips. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Adhere to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; training is provided.
Provide clear, concise, and polite directions.
Maintain good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Possess a valid driver’s license and provide a motor vehicle record.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.
Be able to walk and stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
Continuously push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 pounds on tile and carpeted floors throughout a shift.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience, such as in aviation, airline service, patient transport, or patient care.
Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Transport passengers in wheelchairs to and from their flights inside the terminal.
Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner.
Assist with lifting passengers in and out of wheelchairs and seats as needed.
Follow HHS and regulatory procedures and best practices.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
