Airport Security Officer: Part-Time Wed/Thurs
About The Position
As an Airport Security Officer at a government airport location in Lihue, Hawaii, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to travelers and staff. You will communicate professionally, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven. This is a part-time position scheduled Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a rate of $28.75 per hour. The role is an unarmed patrol position and includes site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Valid driver's license; the job listing specifies one or more years.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening, including the background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and airport personnel while following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas; report unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when assigned, and help deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activities.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications according to company and site procedures.
