Airport Security Officer: Part-Time Wed/Fri/Sat
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Airport Security Officer at a government transportation location in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. The officer will help safeguard travelers, visitors, employees, and agency personnel by patrolling assigned airport areas, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to concerns and incidents, and supporting a welcoming and orderly environment. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and pays $25.25 per hour. Officers may use the company’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The role includes paid training and access to career growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have a valid driver's license for this driving position; the posting specifies at least one year.
- Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Pass a background check, including the background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
- Pass a physical and drug screening.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
- Identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate airport personnel and public agencies as directed.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Help maintain an orderly environment by providing directions, reporting hazards or facility concerns, and supporting security-related operations.
