About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Airport Security Officer to support a government airport location in Honolulu, Hawaii. The officer will safeguard clients and provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and tenants. The position monitors assigned and restricted areas, conducts patrols, maintains a visible presence, follows site-specific security procedures, and responds to incidents as directed. The stated pay rate is $25.25 per hour. The regular schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of airport experience.
• Valid driver's license with at least 1 year of experience; a driver's license is required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to pass a background check, including the DOT Pass and ID office background check.
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screening.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screening as permitted by applicable law.
• Meet any state or local licensing requirements that apply before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces; verify credentials and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, emergency services, or other designated personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to incidents, patrols, access control activity, and customer service interactions.
