About The Position

As an Airport Security Officer: Monday, Friday Shifts in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 18+ years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned airport areas, including terminals, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other designated locations.
  • Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, unattended property, and other security-related concerns, documenting and reporting observations according to site procedures.
  • Support orderly access and movement throughout assigned areas while providing clear directions and assistance to the public.
