About The Position

As an Airport Security Officer: Wednesday-Friday in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 18+ years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, restricted-access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or prohibited activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and actions taken.
