About The Position

Unifi Aviation is seeking an Airport Ramp employee to support airline ground services. The role helps aircraft and passengers reach their destinations safely by marshalling aircraft, handling baggage and cargo, operating ramp equipment, and performing aircraft and cabin service tasks. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. The position is part-time and based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Work may involve rotating A.M. and P.M. shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as well as outdoor conditions that can include severe seasonal weather.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs requirements.
• Valid driver's license.
• No prior experience required; paid training is provided.
• Must be able to frequently lift more than 70 pounds and constantly lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to constantly push and pull up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be able and willing to work outdoors in weather that may include severe seasonal elements.

Responsibilities

• Marshall arriving, departing, and towed aircraft on the ramp.
• Perform wing walker duties to protect aircraft wings from equipment in the path of pushback, and de-ice aircraft as required.
• Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, and baggage carts.
• Operate ramp equipment, including bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
• As assigned, service aircraft, clean lavatories and cabins, and restock supplies and other items.
• Follow safety procedures and policies and complete work in a safe and secure manner in accordance with company safety and operational standards.
• Immediately report safety and security incidents and potential hazards under the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the skills, experience, and capabilities expected for the position.
