About The Position

The Airport Greeter welcomes Kiawah Island Golf Resort and The Sanctuary Hotel group guests arriving at Charleston International Airport and local private airports. The role includes greeting group guests, confirming that drivers and vehicles are present before guests arrive, assisting with luggage, and escorting guests to their vehicles in the charter lane outside baggage claim. This is an on-call, on-site position requiring weekday and weekend availability.

Requirements

• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to focus on details, organize, prioritize, and follow up as needed.
• Ability to take initiative and work efficiently unsupervised.
• Ability to work flexible hours and go the extra mile.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds across short-to-medium distances.
• Must be able to stand for the entirety of a shift and reach, bend, and stoop as needed.
• Must work on site due to the daily needs of the job.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet group guests at Charleston International Airport and local private airports.
• Confirm that drivers and vehicles are present before guest arrivals.
• Assist guests with luggage and escort them to their vehicles in the charter lane outside baggage claim.
• Communicate proactively and appropriately with hotel and resort departments about guests’ needs and preferences.
• Maintain discretion and security for the resort and its guests.
• Comply with procedures and requirements in the Transportation Manual.
• Represent Kiawah Island Golf Resort as an ambassador at work and outside the workplace.
• Organize, prioritize, and follow up on details as needed; take initiative and work efficiently without supervision.
• Strive for continuous improvement and perform other duties as assigned.
