MIA - Airport Coordinator (Summer 2027)

Rustic Pathways•Miami, FL
•$20 - $25•Onsite

About The Position

Rustic Pathways is hiring a seasonal, part-time Airport Coordinator to support student departures and arrivals at Miami International Airport (MIA) during Summer 2027. The position begins at the start of June and ends in mid-August. Airport Coordinators work alongside another coordinator and Flight Leaders, helping students navigate the airport, tracking students and flight information, and supporting students and families through departure and return procedures. Travel conditions can change quickly, so coordinators must adapt calmly to delays, cancellations, rerouting, and ticket changes. The role is usually the first point of contact for families at the airport and helps reassure them while preparing students for their programs. The position is non-exempt, generally scheduled two to three days per week, and does not ordinarily involve travel. In some circumstances, a coordinator may be asked to travel on short notice as a backup for an ill or absent Flight Leader, or to cover a Flight Leader who does not show up. Work takes place at MIA on student group-flight departure and arrival days, and schedules vary. Coordinators may need to work beyond their planned schedule when students are delayed, potentially including an overnight hotel stay in an emergency. The hourly rate is $20 to $25.
