The Port of Bellingham is a Washington State special purpose municipal corporation serving all of Whatcom County. The Port typically hires new employees within the first half of the salary range, with starting pay based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience. JOB SUMMARY The Airport Compliance Program Manager, in coordination with the Director of Aviation, leads the Airport’s regulatory compliance programs and ensures that all operational duties, efforts, and assigned responsibilities are fully compliant with all Port and applicable regulations. This position serves as the Airport’s primary compliance across 14 CFR Part 139 programs, the Safety Management System (SMS), and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) 49 CFR Part 1542 security program and maintains the Airport Certification Manual in accordance with FAA and Director of Aviation requirements. The position also supports the Airport’s FAA and Port capital programs and provides oversight of airport-wide contracts. On a rotating basis, the Airport Compliance Program Manager serves, in an on-call capacity, to manage after-hours airport operations and regulatory compliance. Shifts may be assigned as needed for operational efficiencies.
