Air & Ocean Specialist, Senior

About The Position
The Air & Ocean Specialist is responsible for coordinating documentation and advances for clearance, arranging freight delivery after clearance, and monitoring and controlling entry and entry-summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations. The role handles air and ocean imports and works with forwarders to support shipment processing and customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
- Intermediate experience with MS Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of customer service to clients.
- Handle all air and ocean import shipments.
- Work with forwarders on a daily basis.
- Ensure proof of delivery (POD) is supplied.
- Expedite and trace shipments as required.
- Determine profit levels and billing.
- Process required customs documentation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain department processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
