About The Position

This position coordinates documentation and advances for clearance, delivery of freight after clearance, and monitoring and control of entry and entry-summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations. The role is responsible for import air and ocean shipments and provides customer service to clients while coordinating with forwarders. It also supports shipment tracking, proof-of-delivery collection, profit determination and billing, customs documentation, and the development and maintenance of department processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
• Intermediate MS Office experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients.
• Handle import air and ocean shipments.
• Work with forwarders on a daily basis.
• Ensure proof of delivery (POD) is supplied.
• Expedite and trace shipments as required.
• Determine profit levels and handle billing.
• Process required customs documentation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain department processes.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
