About The Position
As an Aide Trainee with at the Wernersville State Hospital, you will play a key role in supporting patient well being and daily comfort. This position gives you the opportunity to work closely with patients and staff in a positive and structured environment. Your efforts will help create a safe and therapeutic atmosphere for all individuals. The agency encourages motivated people who want to build their skills and contribute to quality care. This position focuses on delivering direct patient care using patient-centered approaches to mentally ill consumers. You will help maintain safety, health, and dignity while following established procedures.
Requirements
- No previous experience needed, training provided.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
- Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities, monitor comfort, and support patient hygiene needs
- Take vital signs and observe patient condition changes for reporting
- Follow precaution procedures, respond to emergencies, and use equipment properly
- Record patient information clearly, maintain confidentiality, and complete required reports
- Communicate with nurses, follow instructions, and contribute to a positive work environment
