About The Position

Putnam County Schools is hiring an Aide/Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to support the instructional program at Hurricane Town Elementary. The employee performs tasks assigned by the regular classroom teacher. The position is evaluated by the building principal or assistant principal and is classified as E. Employment is for 200 days. The current daily schedule is 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The effective employment date is February 2, 2027. Salary is based on experience and education level according to the Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule, plus a competitive benefits package.

Requirements

Hold a high school diploma or GED.
Hold an “Aide” classification.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Hold valid CPR and first aid cards.
To qualify for the Early Childhood Assistant Teacher classification, agree to complete a Temporary or Permanent Authorization endorsed for Early Childhood Assistant Teacher.

Responsibilities
