About The Position
The School Exceptional Education Aide supports the instructional program by performing tasks assigned by the special education teacher. This position is currently assigned to West Teays Elementary School and has a 200-day length of employment. The daily schedule is currently 6:50 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Responsibilities and duties are as outlined in the Putnam County Schools Job Description Handbook. The position is evaluated by the Principal or Assistant Principal. The effective employment date is December 14, 2026. Salary is based on experience and education level according to the Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule, with a competitive benefits package.
Requirements
- Hold a high school diploma, GED, or TASC.
- Hold an “Aide” classification.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Hold valid CPR and first aid cards.
- Complete training required for exceptional education aides.
