About The Position

CWILL is seeking a Product Management Trainee to join their SEO & Speed team. This role offers a hands-on learning experience in the full product management workflow, focusing on an AI-powered SEO and site speed app for Shopify merchants. The trainee will contribute to planning, designing, and improving product features, analyzing user feedback, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The program is designed for recent graduates or those with 1-2 years of experience who have a passion for product management and a strong desire to learn and grow within the tech industry. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required for this position.

Requirements

Recent graduate from a US university (BS or MS), or within 1–2 years of graduation
Mandarin Chinese communication ability required
Genuine interest in internet products, SaaS, or the tech industry

Nice To Haves

Any major welcome; Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or Design preferred
Internship experience in product management, product operations, business analysis, user research, software development, or a SaaS company is a plus
Basic understanding of SEO (keywords, indexing, on-page optimization) or hands-on experience growing a website or online store
Interest in AI search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) and generative content
Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs or SEMrush

Responsibilities

Help plan and design site audits, keyword analysis, page optimization suggestions, GEO strategies, AI-generated content (titles, meta descriptions, content suggestions) and SEO reports
Test and improve the quality of AI-generated content and recommendations
Simplify onboarding, setup flows and how results are presented
Work with marketing and growth on pricing plans, conversion paths and retention
Collect and analyze user feedback, customer requests, product data, and market information to identify product improvement opportunities
Participate in feature planning discussions — ideation, user flows, and solution design
Produce requirement documents, user flows, wireframes, functional specs, and acceptance criteria under PM guidance
Track features from discovery through design, engineering, and launch
Monitor product data and user feedback after launch; surface issues and propose next improvements
Join user interviews and feedback sessions with Shopify merchants and ecommerce brands
Track competitors in your product's category and produce structured competitive analysis
Convert user insights and market signals into actionable product recommendations
Work closely with engineering, design, QA, operations, and customer success to drive high-quality product delivery
Proactively track project progress and flag issues early
Own tasks with a results mindset — follow through on commitments and complete retrospectives after launch
Learn product planning, user research, data analysis, and project management through real work
Conduct retrospectives on the features you ship; build product judgment through iteration
Take on increasing responsibility, eventually owning a product module or workstream independently
