About The Position

Canva is seeking an AI Quality Evaluator fluent in German to join their team for a 12-month contract. This role involves labelling, annotating, and evaluating various types of content (photos, graphics, videos, stickers, designs) in German to ensure linguistic quality, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness. The evaluator will assess AI-generated content against Canva's quality standards for German users, contribute to German-specific datasets for AI features, and deliver labelled assets on time. Maintaining accuracy and consistency through self-review and feedback is crucial. The role requires collaboration with in-house Data Labelling teams in the Philippines and EU for quality alignment.

Requirements

• Native German speaker with strong written and spoken English
• Ability to move fluidly between German and English with confidence
• Attention to detail; ability to spot inconsistencies and maintain a high quality bar on repetitive tasks
• Self-directed with the ability to manage own time across multiple concurrent projects
• Adaptable; able to pick up new guidelines quickly and apply them consistently
• Genuinely curious about AI and excited to be part of building language experiences
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where work evolves

Responsibilities

• Labelling, annotating, and evaluating photos, graphics, videos, stickers, and designs in German — assessing linguistic quality, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness
• Evaluating AI-generated content against Canva's quality bar for German users, helping shape how AI experiences land in your language
• Building and contributing to German-specific datasets to support the internationalisation of Canva AI features
• Delivering labelled assets on time, meeting output targets across a variety of task types and labelling guidelines
• Reviewing and refining your own labels based on feedback to maintain accuracy and consistency
• Collaborating with in-house Data Labelling teams across the Philippines and EU for ongoing quality alignment
