About The Position

Vexcel is looking to hire an entry-level AI Operations Specialist for a fully remote, U.S.-based role to support the day-to-day operation, administration, and continuous improvement of its enterprise AI tooling. This role plays a key part in enabling responsible AI adoption by keeping platforms running, managing access and costs, supporting employees, onboarding new tools, developing lightweight internal solutions, and reviewing AI-built applications. This position is a strong fit for candidates who are detail oriented, operationally focused, and motivated by supporting the adoption of AI across the organization. The role emphasizes hands on work with enterprise AI platforms, collaboration with cross functional teams, and thoughtful evaluation of tools and applications to ensure they are secure, effective, and aligned with organizational goals. The role blends platform administration, DevOps fundamentals, code evaluation, and user enablement, and is ideal for someone comfortable in cloud environments, able to read code, and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in technology operations, IT, or platform administration
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or Gemini
  • Ability to read and evaluate JavaScript and Python code
  • Exposure to prompt engineering, automation, or low-code / no-code platforms

Nice To Haves

  • SaaS platform administration experience, including user lifecycle management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Geospatial, GIS, or remote sensing experience

Responsibilities

  • Administer enterprise AI platforms, including tenant configuration, workspaces, and integrations
  • Manage licenses and seat allocations, reclaim inactive access, and track renewals
  • Maintain an internal catalog of approved AI tools and use cases
  • Support and maintain internal AI chat and search tools
  • Administer GCP and AWS environments hosting AI tooling, including access controls and cost oversight
  • Build small internal tools and automations using AI-assisted workflows
  • Monitor system health and usage and respond to incidents during business hours
  • Triage and resolve AI tool issues, escalating as needed
  • Evaluate new AI tools for feasibility, security, cost, and alignment
  • Review user-built AI applications for quality, security, and scalability
  • Read and provide feedback on JavaScript and Python code
  • Support testing, approval, and enterprise rollout of approved applications
