About The Position

The JM Family College Internship Program provides college students with meaningful work experiences connected to their studies. Interns contribute to their teams, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture, and develop skills through learning opportunities and networking events. During the Summer Internship Program, the AI Intern works alongside the AI team on real-world data and machine learning projects, supporting day-to-day work through research, analysis, and documentation. The role offers hands-on project experience and the opportunity to contribute new perspectives to department initiatives. The internship runs from May 24, 2027, through July 30, 2027. Full-time availability is expected during the program, with work arrangements subject to business needs, performance, and manager discretion.

Requirements

• Be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university, with a focus in a relevant field; candidates in related fields will also be considered.
• Have completed at least one semester of coursework.
• Be pursuing a degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Have working knowledge of Python.
• Be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with SQL.
• Coursework or experience in data analysis or machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Use Python in Jupyter Notebooks to perform data analysis in support of AI projects.
• Extract and work with data using SQL to support project and analytical needs.
• Perform basic machine learning tasks using project data.
• Conduct research to support ongoing AI initiatives and project work.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of project documentation.
• Complete assigned project work and provide updates on progress.
