About The Position

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented intern to help develop a web-based interface for a scalable, cloud-native platform that manages and orchestrates AI workflows. The platform is built on an open-source architecture. The intern will help shape its user experience and usability by developing front-end features, integrating backend services, documenting components, and working with development and design teams.

Requirements

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience using front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience with responsive software development and design principles.
• Entry-level understanding of AI/ML.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex front-end issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical discipline, such as cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, or information technology, at an accredited college or university.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cloud-based platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Familiarity with machine learning or data science concepts and experience with data visualization tools.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Enzyme.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to design and implement a user-friendly web interface for the platform.
• Develop high-quality, responsive, interactive components using modern web development technologies.
• Integrate existing backend services and ensure seamless data exchange and API interactions.
• Participate in code reviews, help improve the codebase, and maintain coding quality standards.
• Develop and maintain accurate, current, accessible documentation for components.
• Collaborate with the design team to align the front end with the company's visual identity and design principles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues and technical challenges with the development team.
