AI Enablement & Acceleration Practice Owner

Bitovi•,
•$150,000 - $180,000•Remote

About The Position

Bitovi is seeking a thought leader to build and grow its AI Enablement practice, helping organizations use AI to improve digital product delivery. The practice currently offers three tiers: training teams to use AI, adding AI capabilities that streamline parts of their workflow, and measuring the impact of both against DORA metrics. The offering covers the full software delivery life cycle, including design, product, QA, and testing. The immediate focus is selling the current offering; over time, the role will keep it relevant as AI evolves. The Practice Owner will identify emerging customer needs and develop technically achievable solutions, playbooks, and differentiated offerings. They will design the practice’s customer acquisition strategy, including its sales and marketing pipeline, partnerships, campaigns, positioning, and conference and community engagement. They will partner with Sales to close practice opportunities and eventually own the full sales cycle, from initial conversation through signed engagement. Sales experience is not required; Bitovi will provide support and training. The role works closely with engineering leaders, the practice lead, marketing, Sales, and Delivery Managers to ensure offerings can be delivered well, proposals accurately describe deliverable services, and offerings improve based on delivery feedback and client outcomes. It may also involve helping consultants ramp up on newly sold offerings, though this is secondary. Ongoing content production and primary responsibility for upskilling Bitovi engineers are explicitly outside the role. Travel to meet clients and internal teams may range from one to two times per year to three to five days every three to four months, with efforts made to accommodate the employee’s schedule.

Requirements

  • Track record of identifying emerging technology early and building a capability, practice, or product around it before it becomes mainstream.
  • Experience leading a team to turn new techniques into adoptable best practices, including experimentation, documentation, packaging, pricing, and positioning.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI to software delivery and distinguishing effective current uses from hype.
  • Deep familiarity with the software delivery life cycle, including design, product, development, QA, and testing, and how AI affects each stage.
  • Experience building a plan-driven growth pipeline backward from revenue goals through marketing, partnerships, or referrals.
  • Relationships or experience with technology partners, such as AI vendors, platforms, or alliances, that have generated real opportunities.
  • A credible public point of view on AI, demonstrated through talks, writing, or community involvement.
  • Ability to work closely with engineering leaders to ensure sold offerings can be delivered at quality.

Responsibilities

  • Track the direction of AI tools, techniques, and adoption, and identify problems organizations are likely to pay to solve.
  • Translate AI trends into concrete offerings, playbooks, and a clear point of view that differentiates Bitovi.
  • Develop and test hypotheses for new solutions with internal team members and real client work before selling them.
  • Ensure offerings are technically achievable and flag skills the company needs to hire or develop.
  • Refine, expand, or retire offerings as the market changes.
  • Design the practice’s sales and marketing pipeline and strategy for attracting customers.
  • Define partnership strategy, including which partnerships to pursue and how to use them to generate work.
  • Guide marketing campaigns, content, and events, and determine which projects, stories, and messages to highlight.
  • Select relevant conferences and communities and determine what Bitovi should present there.
  • Provide Sales with accurate messaging, positioning, and materials about the practice’s deliverable offerings.
  • Partner with Sales to close practice opportunities and eventually own the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed engagement.
  • Lead client conversations to shape solutions, confirm fit, and demonstrate expertise in practical AI capabilities.
  • Set deal strategy with Sales for larger or more complex engagements.
  • Work with the practice lead on proposals to ensure they reflect offerings Bitovi can deliver.
  • Work with Directors of Engineering to confirm new offerings can be delivered at quality and identify skill gaps early.
  • Partner with Delivery Managers to refine offerings based on delivery feedback and client outcomes.
  • Track practice growth and market traction, balancing near-term revenue with longer-term investments.
  • When needed, help consultants ramp up on a newly sold offering.
  • Share content ideas and strategies with the Engineering Marketing Lead; ongoing content production is handled by the engineering marketer.
