About The Position

The AI and Business Systems Intern will support the Business Systems team by building AI tools and documenting business processes. The role offers hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools, process improvement, and the systems that support a manufacturing company. The position is expected to work 20 hours per week from January 11 through April 23, 2027.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in AI tools and how they can improve the way people work.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable learning new tools independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test 1–2 Microsoft Copilot agents to help employees work more efficiently.
• Meet with employees across departments to understand their needs and gather requirements for agent development.
• Map current business processes for open Business Systems projects, documenting each step, handoff, and system involved.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in existing processes.
• Create clear process maps, flowcharts, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with testing new systems and features to confirm they work as intended.
• Present project progress and final results to the Business Systems team and Leadership.
• Coordinate other projects as assigned by the Business Systems Manager.
