About The Position

InnerPlant is transforming farming by turning plants into living sensors that signal stress, enabling farmers to increase yields and reduce costs. We are expanding our team of Agronomy Sales Managers to support the rapid growth of our commercial product, CropVoice. The CropVoice platform provides critical and timely insights by translating signals from our living sensors to pinpoint stress before visible symptoms appear, removing guesswork from key in-season decisions. This Agronomy Sales Manager position will be based in and responsible for sales in Northwest Iowa.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, or a related field
  • Strong agronomy background required; working knowledge of crop disease management, fungicide applications, and agronomic decision-making, specifically for soybeans and corn
  • Experience in ag sales, ag retail, or a customer-facing agronomy role
  • Proven ability, or clear demonstrated drive, to prospect, cold call, and build book of business from scratch, for both channel partners and farmers
  • Ability to work outdoors in summer field conditions for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver's license

  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) preferred but not required
  • Self-starters who diligently carry out responsibilities in their territories while working collaboratively and transparently.
  • Relentlessly follow through on all aspects of responsibilities, including: generating leads and building a customer pipeline, closing sales opportunities, maintaining meticulous customer relationship management records, and training partners in CropVoice.
  • Champion the company’s mission to transform farming, effectively communicate that vision to farmers and partners, and bring feedback from growers and partners back to product, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Share and receive feedback with the team while driving sales success within your territory.

Responsibilities

  • Drive farmer enrollment in CropVoice by working directly with farmers, retailers and seed dealers to educate and generate excitement about CropVoice and to close sales.
  • Leverage existing network to increase awareness of CropVoice and to drive sales.
  • Capitalize on a strong agronomic background to explain the benefits of CropVoice in practical and value-driven terms for farmers and agronomists.
  • Support local field operations, including plot network setup, and scouting.
