Aging Case Aide 2 - Adult Daily Living Center - Hawley (Local Government)
About The Position
This is a rewarding opportunity for a patient, compassionate, and organized individual who enjoys working with senior citizens and supporting their independence and well-being. Duties include assisting senior day center participants with personal care and daily needs while promoting safety, dignity, and independence. This position supports older adults by providing information, guidance, and help with important programs and activities across Wayne County. You will split your time between Hawley, PA and Honesdale, PA.
Requirements
- One year as an Aging Case Aide 1; or Two years of public contact work, including one year in a human services program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
- Pass a tuberculosis and drug screening (conditional offer of employment).
- Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment).

- Attach a copy of college transcripts if claiming education.

- Employee may have overnight travel or out of the county travel for meetings or training.
- Employee may cover at other senior centers or satellite.
Responsibilities
- Assist older adults in understanding programs such as Medicare, PA MEDI, PACE, LIHEAP, and Tax or Rent Rebate
- Help clients complete applications and connect with community resources
- Conduct outreach across Wayne County, including home visits to homebound individuals
- Organize senior center activities, support volunteers, and manage registration and assessments
- Support meal distribution, sanitation steps, and donation documentation
- Maintain accurate records and complete data entry in agency and statewide databases
