About The Position

We are looking for a Methods Agent - Configuration to join our team at Airbus Atlantique in Mirabel. As part of a team of about fifteen people, your main task will be to provide technical support to production operators and master an assembly line in terms of industrialization and assembly. You will report to the Methods (preparation) manager for the G7500 and A220 programs for the Airbus Atlantique Canada site in Mirabel. Your responsibility will be to master the assembly phases of the workstations to which you will be assigned and to anticipate associated risks. Your daily work must be done in compliance with health and safety standards. The Methods department is a team of enthusiasts who work collaboratively and in good spirits. Our mission is to take on challenges with the priority of supporting the production department in the assembly of aerospace products.

Requirements

  • A college or university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical manufacturing, or any other relevant diploma
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in methods
  • Experience in the aeronautics sector and in supporting medium-series production
  • Knowledge of assembly processes (key characteristics of simple or complex assembly tooling, capability analysis tool, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to use and interpret aeronautical standards
  • Ability to create and/or interpret a manufacturing process
  • Mastery of tolerancing and dimension chain principles
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, Catia V5
  • Strong proposal skills, teamwork, reactivity, and rigor
  • French & English: spoken & written

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of elementary parts would be a plus

Responsibilities

  • Request the creation of OMP for a repair part
  • Support production in carrying out repair work
  • Create the repair process without deviation (i.e., replacement of a part)
  • Understand the sequencing and industrial process
  • Support installations
  • Create repair processes related to deviations
  • Communicate change requests to series preparers
  • Modify manufacturing orders as needed (adding missing parts, etc.)
  • Make necessary corrections to technical sheets if possible or relay information to series preparers
  • Ensure follow-up of work performed at the end of an assembly to quickly take charge of files to be divided for completion
