About The Position

As part of a team of about fifteen people, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Production department to provide technical support to production operators and oversee an assembly line in terms of industrialization and assembly. You will be responsible for managing the assembly phases of the workstations assigned to you and must anticipate associated risks.

Requirements

  • College or university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace manufacturing, or any other relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in process engineering
  • Experience in the aerospace industry and in production support for medium-volume manufacturing
  • Knowledge of assembly processes (key characteristics of simple or complex assembly tooling, capability analysis tools, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to use and interpret aerospace standards
  • Knowledge of systems (hydraulic, pneumatic)
  • Ability to manage and/or interpret a manufacturing bill of materials
  • Proficiency in the principles of tolerancing and dimensional chains
  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of basic components would be a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP, PDM, Microsoft Office, and Catia V5

Responsibilities

  • Interpret, verify, and approve documents from the engineering department
  • Be able to understand, interpret, and clarify ATP batches
  • Develop assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components
  • Prepare and present projects for validation with the various company departments
  • Lead project follow-up meetings and keep the various tracking files up to date
  • Maintain performance metrics
  • Manage activities across the various project phases: feasibility study, preliminary design and planning, procurement, implementation, and production launch
  • Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes and assembly strategies by working closely with other departments, including materials logistics, quality, and production
  • Manage change requests during project execution
