About The Position

Airbus Atlantique, a global leader in aerostructures, pilot seats, and premium passenger seats, is seeking a Configuration Methods Agent for its Mirabel site. This role involves providing technical support to production operators, mastering assembly lines in terms of industrialization and assembly, and ensuring the smooth execution of assembly phases for assigned workstations. The position requires anticipating associated risks and adhering to health and safety standards. The Methods department is a team of passionate individuals dedicated to supporting aerospace product assembly through collaborative problem-solving.

Requirements

  • College or university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical manufacturing, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in methods.
  • Experience in the aeronautical sector and in supporting medium-series production.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes (key characteristics of simple or complex assembly tooling, capability analysis tools, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret aeronautical standards.
  • Knowledge of systems (hydraulic, pneumatic).
  • Ability to create and/or interpret manufacturing processes.
  • Mastery of tolerancing and dimensioning principles.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, Catia V5.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented.
  • Team spirit, responsiveness, and rigor.
  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of elementary parts would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret, verify, and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department.
  • Understand, interpret, and plan ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) tests on aircraft.
  • Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
  • Prepare and present projects for validation with various company functions.
  • Lead project follow-up meetings and maintain updated tracking files.
  • Maintain performance indicators.
  • Manage activities across different project phases: feasibility study, project mandate and business plan, acquisition, implementation, and production launch.
  • Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies in close collaboration with engineering, material logistics, quality, and production departments.
  • Manage change requests arising during project execution.
