About The Position

Currey Ingram Academy is seeking energetic, creative, and dependable staff for its BOOST Afterschool Program in Brentwood, Tennessee. Staff support elementary and middle school students as they learn, play, and explore, helping them finish the school day positively. This part-time role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The schedule is 2:00–5:30 p.m., three to five afternoons per week, for 12–15 hours weekly. Starting pay is $18 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Enjoy working with children and bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Be creative, patient, and responsible, and be ready to get involved.
• Commit to a consistent schedule of three to five afternoons per week.

Nice To Haves

• Studying education, psychology, child development, or a related field, or having an interest in gaining hands-on experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in grades K–8 with homework and school projects.
• Lead games, crafts, recreational activities, and creative projects.
• Encourage teamwork, creativity, and positive friendships.
• Help create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where students with diverse learning styles can thrive.
• Serve as a positive role model and help make each student's afternoon a positive experience.
