About The Position

Eaton’s Aerospace Group is seeking an Aftermarket Sales Manager to support our US Military Aftermarket Sales and select US Defense Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) portfolio. This position will be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Relocation assistance is available to the Dallas/Fort Worth area from within the US. Travel is expected to be around 20%. The expected annual salary range for this role is $125000 - $184000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 10 years of military/professional experience
  • Minimum 5 Years sales experience in US Military sales, working with either US government or OEM customers
  • Reside in the greater Dallas, TX area or ability to relocate there
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8U.S.C. § 1158.
  • Extensive knowledge in dealing with US Department of Defense procurement and contracting processes and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience leading or working closely with teams in a military or government facing sales role
  • Self Starter who takes the initiative to find new opportunities, make lasting relationships and truly understands the Defense Aftermarket and Sustainment environment
  • Interest and comfortability with doing business development; “hunting” mindset
  • Ability to work in matrixed organization

Nice To Haves

  • Direct US Military Aftermarket and Sustainment sales or business development experience
  • Direct US Military Prime OEM sales or business development experience
  • MBA or other Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • An existing security clearance, or the ability to obtain clearance if needed

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary account manager for aftermarket and sustainment business for assigned customers; act as the voice of the customer.
  • Share voice of the customer concerns, insights and requirements across your team to collaborate and harmonize efforts to ensure operational availability and material readiness
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at multiple levels within the customer’s organization, transforming relationships into tangible results.
  • Develop intimate knowledge of customer requirements and demand to support order fulfillment and new business growth plans.
  • Identify, develop, and manage a healthy pipeline of new opportunities, with specific focus on retrofits, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Monitor market trends, technology developments, and competitor activities to anticipate customer needs and shape product offerings and go-to-market strategies for the military aftermarket.
  • Work closely with engineering, pricing, and contracts teams to create timely, competitive bids and ensure proposals meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate internally with engineering, program management, customer service, supply chain, and other functions to ensure delivery and support for aftermarket products and services according to contract terms and customer expectations.
