About The Position

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to teach fun, beginner-friendly tennis sessions for elementary school students in grades K–5, ages 5–10, at various school sites around the Bay Area. Programs are conducted in person, Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Instructors typically teach one approximately one-hour class per day, with a possible additional 30 minutes of pre-care. Some weekend options are available.

After School Program compensation is $50–$65 per session. Regular Tennis Clinics pay $18–$24 per hour and offer 2–4 hours of work, depending on tennis skills and class level. The company provides equipment. Candidates must live locally and be available for in-person work. A two-day training or shadowing session is required before starting.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Must enjoy working with children and be patient, enthusiastic, and reliable.
• Must have good communication and class management skills.
• Must have reliable transportation around the East Bay and Peninsula.
• Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work.
• Must have a valid work permit and already be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.

Nice To Haves

• Previous tennis teaching or playing experience is preferred but not required.
• USPTA or PTR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach tennis classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
• Manage class sizes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
• Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
• Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
• Capture a few class photos for documentation.
• Provide a photo and short biography for the company website and introduce sports experience.
