About The Position

Lead engaging after-school tennis and pickleball classes for students in grades K–5 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Create a fun, supportive environment where children can learn, play, and stay active. Classes typically serve 8–16 students ages 5–10 and last 1–1.5 hours. The schedule is flexible, with classes starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Instructors work two or more days per week, for a maximum of 2–5 hours weekly. The employer provides lesson plans and requires participation in a two-day training session. Candidates must be local to the U.S. or have a valid work visa; visa assistance is not provided.

Requirements

• Be at least 19 years old at the time of application.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a passion for working with children and effective classroom management skills.
• Be flexible, reliable, punctual, and professional, with an enthusiastic approach.
• Have strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Have reliable transportation, including an own car and valid driver’s license.
• Be willing to undergo a background check and be fully vaccinated.
• Be local to the U.S. or possess a valid work visa; visa assistance is not provided.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching or playing pickleball or tennis.
• USPTA or PTR certification.

Responsibilities

• Energize and manage classes of 8–16 students ages 5–10.
• Deliver engaging lessons using provided plans.
• Participate in a two-day training session.
• Set up and transport pickleball and tennis equipment.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Communicate positively with parents and school staff.
• Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
• Take photos of students during sessions to showcase their progress.
