Tennis and Pickleball Coach
About The Position
The Tennis and Pickleball Coach teaches fun, energetic sessions for children ages 5–10, primarily beginners, at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Programs take place Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Coaches typically teach one approximately one-hour class per day, with the possibility of an additional 30 minutes of pre-care. The position is part-time, generally 2–5 hours per week, and pays $50–$65 per session. The company provides equipment. Coaches must work in person, live locally, and have reliable transportation. Before starting, they must attend a two-day training or shadowing session and complete the required screening steps.
Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years old when applying.
- Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
- Must enjoy working with children in a positive and active setting.
- Must be flexible, reliable, and punctual.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting.
- Must already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the sport applied for, coaching, or working with children is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
- Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
- Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
- Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
- Capture a few class photos for documentation.
- Provide a photo and short biography for the company website and introduce their sports experience.
