About The Position

Action Day Schools is seeking an energetic, experienced, professional, passionate, and nurturing After School Teacher for its school-age extended-day students at the Saratoga School. The teacher supports students through engaging, hands-on activities that inspire creativity, confidence, and teamwork. The role includes developing and implementing lesson plans, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with school staff and parents to support student growth. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Compensation is $18–$24 per hour, depending on individual experience, education, and position requirements. Action Day offers professional development opportunities including mentor-teacher training, one-on-one coaching, team check-ins, a new-hire welcome workshop, staff development days, CPR/First Aid certification offerings, and career growth programs. Teachers may collaborate with colleagues to design learning environments and may pursue leadership roles as a Head or Master Teacher or in school administration.

Requirements

Experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and/or school-age students.
12 core ECE units required.
A love and passion for working with young children.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A reliable, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.

Nice To Haves

Infant-toddler units are highly preferred.
