About The Position

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to teach fun, beginner-friendly Pickleball/Tennis sessions for elementary school students in Grades K–5 at various school sites around the Bay Area. Classes are in person and typically involve teaching one approximately one-hour class per day, with a possible additional 30 minutes of pre-care. The programs run Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Weekend tennis clinic work is also available, with 2–4 hours of work depending on tennis skills and class level. The after-school program pays $50–$65 per session; the posting also states compensation of $50.00–$65.00 per hour. Weekend tennis clinics pay $18–$24 per hour. The company provides equipment and lesson plans. Coaches must attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting and should have reliable transportation to program sites around the East Bay and Peninsula.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old.
Enjoy working with children and be patient, enthusiastic, and reliable.
Have good communication and class management skills.
Have reliable transportation around the East Bay and Peninsula.
Be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work.

Nice To Haves

Previous Pickleball teaching or playing experience is preferred but not required.
USPTA/PTR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Teach Pickleball classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
Capture a few class photos for documentation.
