A warm and welcoming family in Arlington is looking for an energetic, dependable after-school nanny to care for their two active boys, ages 5 and 7. The family follows a limited-screen approach during the week and is looking for a nanny who enjoys interacting through play, conversation, and hands-on activities.
Requirements
- Prior experience caring for school-aged children
- Energetic, engaging, and able to keep up with two active boys
- Enjoy creating meaningful connections and becoming part of the family's routine
- Dependable, organized, and proactive
- Respect the family's no-screen-time routine during the week (aside from occasional TV)
- Comfortable working with a family that values a progressive, inclusive approach to parenting
- Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle
Responsibilities
- Picking the children up from school and safely transporting them home
- Unpacking backpacks and helping the boys settle into their afternoon routine
- Assisting with homework and supporting daily learning activities prepared by Mom
- Preparing simple, healthy dinners for the children
- Keeping the children engaged through active play, creativity, and age-appropriate activities
- Maintaining open communication with the parents regarding the children's day
