About The Position
Yogativity is seeking enthusiastic individuals to lead after-school fitness and creative programs for elementary school students in Terra Bella and Porterville. The organization is dedicated to education, positive encouragement, and making a difference in students' lives. Programs include movement, fitness, and creative classes such as arts, light cooking instruction, and creative makerspace. Training, daily curriculum, plans, games, and materials will be provided. Students are grouped by grade levels with a maximum of 20 students per two Yogativity staff members.
Requirements
- Experience working with groups of kids
- College students, para, TAs, retirees, parents, grandparents are encouraged to apply
- Effective group management skills
- Energetic, kind, and patient personality
- Punctual and reliable, with access to a reliable form of transportation
- Experience working with youth in an educational, recreational, or after-school setting
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable leading groups of students and managing classroom behavior
- Bachelor’s degree or working on one (Education or related field preferred)
- Two years of college or equivalent coursework credits.
- Ability to pass a company instructional assessment
- CPR/First Aid certification - we will provide
- Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
