Community For Learning (CFL) Project SEAL provides social, emotional & academic based after- school and summer programs in ten Albuquerque school communities, primarily with Kinder-5th grade. Instructors will have the opportunity to work in an after-school/before-school program designed to help at-risk students to build resiliency, improve academic skills, and promote social skills. Instructors will work together with CFL staff to create a safe, educated, effective, and empowered school community that will improve the lives of all that participate. Staff members will use positive techniques to guide the behavior of children and youth and are encouraged to interact with each other in positive ways. Activities and curriculum are hands-on, researched based, and reflect the wants and needs of children, families, community and the school. Programming includes opportunities to develop academic skills, engage in recreation and outdoor play, participate in meaningful service-learning projects, enhance creativity and express themselves through art, explore and develop interests and talents, learn to work as part of a team, develop positive character traits, and develop leadership skills.
