After School Instructors for Elementary School Programs - Soledad, (Monterey County)
About The Position
After School Instructors and Assistants are needed for after-school fitness and creative programs located in Soledad and Greenfield at multiple locations. The organization is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about education, positive encouragement, and making a difference in the lives of students. Training is provided for all programs, including daily curriculum, plans, games, and materials. Programs include Movement - Mindful Martial Arts, Fitness, and Creative Classes such as light cooking instruction. Students are grouped by grade levels with class sizes maximum 20 students to two Yogativity staff.
Requirements
- Experience working with groups of kids
- College students, teachers, TAs, retirees, parents, are encouraged to apply
- Effective group management skills
- Energetic, kind, and patient personality
- Punctual and reliable, with access to a reliable form of transportation
- Experience working with youth in an educational, recreational, or after-school setting
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable leading groups of students and managing classroom behavior
- Bachelor’s degree or working on one (Education or related field preferred)
- Two years of college or equivalent coursework credits.
- Ability to pass a company instructional assessment
- CPR/First Aid certification - we will provide
- Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
