About The Position

AlphaBEST is hiring a part-time After School Instructor, also described as a Program Leader or Group Leader, at Mabel L. Pendleton Elementary and Carl E. Gilbert Elementary in Buena Park, California. The role focuses on creating an engaging, caring, and inclusive environment where children can explore, build curiosity and creativity, and feel a sense of community and belonging. Group Leaders guide students through activities in fitness, the arts, technology, and more, while collaborating with peers and building positive relationships with children and parents.

Program hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:50 or 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
• Have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
