About The Position
This part-time afternoon position at Great Hearts Irving Lower School in Irving, Texas, supports middle school students with homework, enrichment, and fun. Great Hearts Academies is a non-profit network of charter schools focused on developing excellent public schools and forming students intellectually and morally. The role may require local travel for training and professional development. Employment is contingent on completing a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Requirements
- Some college; an education or liberal arts major is preferred.
- Experience working with children.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lead and teach children.
- Complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and a background check.
- Be at least 18 years of age by the start date.
- US work authorization is required.
