About The Position

The Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. This is an applicant pool for affiliate faculty, and screening will occur when positions become available. These are temporary, part-time, non-tenure track academic positions that vary from semester to semester based on program needs. Not all applicants will be contacted or selected to teach. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Four years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students.
  • Prepare course materials and lesson plans.
  • Grade student work and provide robust feedback in a timely manner.
  • Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
  • Provide online or in person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment.
  • Provide instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if required, with department course coordination policies.
  • Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
  • Adapt and learn new modes of instruction.
  • Be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
