The Department of Nutrition at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for temporary, part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. The primary responsibility of this position is to teach one or more credit hours as determined by the department. Areas of teaching include undergraduate and graduate courses, including Introduction to Nutrition, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Community Nutrition, and others. Requirements

Minimum of a Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field to teach undergraduate level courses.
Doctorate in Nutrition or related field is required to teach graduate level courses.

Nice To Haves

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
Two years of teaching experience relevant to one or more of the content areas
Previous experience in teaching in an online environment
Experience with diverse, historically underrepresented and/or first-generation college students

Responsibilities

Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including Introduction to Nutrition, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Community Nutrition, and other courses.
Be available for consultation with students outside of class either in-person or remotely.
Conduct student assessments as prescribed by the curriculum.
Adhere to policies and procedures regarding students and faculty as established by the University and Department.
Adapt and learn new modes of instruction.
Be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
