About The Position

AF399W trains senior students in essential skills related to the teaching of writing. The instructor will teach students how to teach writing to their peers. Students will develop skills relating to writing knowledge, teaching writing, teaching and facilitation skills, and lesson planning for tutorials. The instructor will be expected to teach writing genres, learning theory, and writing theory, marking, and assessing best practices, and how to facilitate effective classroom discussion. A knowledge of intercultural learning will be important given that students learning to write come from many cultural backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • Humanities, Social Sciences or Education
  • Submit a teaching dossier with evidence of training and/or teaching experience in core academic competencies (reading, writing, research, oral presentation).
