About The Position

A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist a Course Supervisor. This role involves assisting the Professor in coordinating with guest lecturers, preparing, grading, and reviewing homework sets, assignments, quizzes, and exams. The Teaching Assistant will also prepare, conduct, and lead tutorials, read course materials, and communicate with students regarding MyCourses.

Requirements

  • Applicants must currently be students enrolled in a graduate program at McGill University.
  • Priority will be given to students currently in the priority pool, and graduate students.
  • Applicants must be familiar with the course content (https://coursecatalogue.mcgill.ca/courses/aero-401/index.html)
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Professor in coordinating with guest lecturers for course.
  • Assist Professor in preparing, grading, and reviewing HW sets & other assignments, quizzes, exams.
  • Prepare, conduct, and lead tutorials
  • Reading course materials
  • Communication with students regarding MyCourses
