University Advancement boasts a talented, knowledgeable team dedicated to inspiring the global WashU community to engage in advancing our university mission—to act in service of truth through the formation of leaders, the discovery of knowledge, and the treatment of patients for the betterment of our region, our nation, and our world. Within University Advancement, Philanthropic Strategy teams partner with their respective schools or initiative to establish strategic fundraising priorities, develop and advance donor strategies, engage leadership in fundraising activities, and create stewardship and engagement opportunities for prospects and volunteers. The Advancement Coordinator within the Philanthropic Strategy Team of University Advancement, assists one or more of the school or initiative-focused teams by providing operational and administrative support. The Advancement Coordinator helps advance fundraising progress from top prospects by managing dashboards, tracking task execution across UA teams, and coordinating leadership travel logistics and donor materials. The coordinator will be key to prospect strategy execution by preparing briefing materials and facilitating post-meeting follow up steps. While working with a specific team(s), this position reports to the Senior Manager of Support Services, Philanthropic Strategy and is part of an overall administrative support service team for Philanthropic Strategy. We value superior attention to detail, outstanding oral and written communication, advanced computer skills, capacity to work well under deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to handle confidential information and situations with sensitivity and discretion. Support services team members work to support the execution of all role functions, inclusive of activities beyond this list, depending on the unique needs of individual terms.
