Advanced Practice Provider (PA or FNP)
About The Position
Epic Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join its Metro Detroit multi-specialty practice. The role focuses on patient-centered care across stages of life in a fast-paced clinical environment. The position is on-site in Southfield, Michigan, with consideration for placement at other Metro Detroit locations; applicants may state a preferred location, but placement there is not guaranteed. During training, the schedule is Monday through Friday in eight-hour shifts. After training, there is an option to transition to a four-day, ten-hour schedule. A background check is required.
Requirements
- Michigan Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner licensure is required.
- A master's degree in a related field.
- Understanding of patient care, willingness to continue learning, and commitment to compassionate care.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to adapt while keeping patient outcomes central.
Nice To Haves
- Two to five years of experience in primary care and pediatrics (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Examine patients, obtain health histories, and evaluate physical conditions to make diagnoses and treatment decisions.
- Prescribe therapy or medications with physician approval and coordinate care to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Administer and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays, EKGs, and laboratory work.
- Counsel patients on health regimens, growth and development, family planning, and preventive care.
- Perform procedures including injections, suturing, wound care, and immunizations.
- Supervise and coordinate technicians and assistants.
